A week or so ago Woogi and I went to Lake Park. It's quite a nice wee park with a strange bird that has a very wide range of noises it displayed. I can't understand why, in Korea you go to a park and there is music blaring from speakers. Isn't part of the reason people go to parks is to relax and get away from the noise and busyness of the city?????

Yesterday we joined a bus tour, first to Gangchon and Gugok falls. Woogi had been here before and said that there wasn't alot of water tumbling down. It was a pretty place though with a huge number of white butterflies flitting around.

We also came across this huge fungi that looked more like a peice of coral than a funny mushroom. It was quite beautiful.

At the falls.

Next it was off to Nami Island with thousands (literally) others. I had expected a pretty island where we would spend the afternoon relaxing but I was wrong!!! It is famous as it was used in filming Winter Sonata (a famous Korean drama) About from the throng of people there were jet boats going around and around and not much to look at. Not recommended. I also had imagine that it was an island in the sea but it was a dot of land in the middle of a river. The above photo is a trick into making you believe you are heading into nature! Ha! It was like a theme park more than anything.
