Friday morning...

up all night and waiting for ........

.........Korea University's Espalanti. Students sleep on the streets near my apartment to get a good place to see the concert put on by the Uni for it's 102nd birthday. They make more noise the night before than after the concert. This year there didn't seem to be any famous singers like there was last year but there was still a huge wave a red T-shirts jumping up and down to the music. I put my earplugs in the night the students were sleeping on the street (well probably partying on the street and sleeping the next morning) and slept well. Some of my unexpecting neighbours didn't fare so well.

Went to the wedding of a friend of Woogi's. Didn't understand a word.

Had a lot of fun afterwards with some teachers frm work at the Seoul Racetrack. I didn't spend much but didn't loose much at all, in fact nearly broke even. The track is in a nice setting and you forget you are in a big city quite quickly.

In the evening the uni put on another free concert for the community this time. Woogi and I went for awhile. There were some B-boys doing there thing. They were so athletic and really talented. I was impressed. There was a singer (Sung, Si-kyung) there who is famous (but not to me) and a folk singer too. They were good and many woman liked Mr Sung I think as after he did his thing a lot of them ran out to catch a glimpse of him. I didn't think he was handsome but he had a good voice.
