Goodbye New Zealand - an Auckland beach - in the summer.
Hong Kong from the plane. Just an hour in transit and then onto Seoul! I was REALLY happy to see Woogi when I arrived :-) I had problems recieving the boxes of my stuff (hopefully arriving tomorrow) and didn't have a suit to go to Woogi's graduation. So after we finally found my apartment and dropped off my stuff we went shopping. Is there another place in the world where you can go shopping for a suit after midnight? Woogi had to make an executive decision about which suit to get cos I had been awake for more than 24 hours and couldn't think straight.
At graduation!
I had bought some new shoes (for the suit that didn't arrive) in NZ and discovered that they don't stay on my feet so I kinda flopped to the graduation, slowly loosing all feeling in my feet due to the cold!!!
As you can see, you can't see my suit! It was too cold to take off my jacket so I could have worn something else but never mind I have a new suit now! Here I am with Woogi and some of his classmates. There were lots of people selling flowers at the university's main gates. Alot of them were fake and reminded me of the flowers they put on graves. Different culture, different ideas.
So this is where I live. I had forgot about how you can see all the big bird's nests in the leafless trees in the winter.
This is the main gate to the dormitories. There are quite a few - one for girls, one for guys, one for international students, another for international students and then my one for faculty.
You can't see my apartment from here, it is around the corner but this is the building.
Can you see my new computer that my honey made?
Can you see the heater on the wall? I was disappointed that my apartment doesn't have under floor heating cos I love it but it is cosy. I think there is water in the heater. They are on all the time so everywhere except the bathroom is warm. My face wash is half frozen!
I appreciate the long bath and the western toilet!
The view down the road from my building, down to the small supermarkets. If I don't find a bigger one soon I will have to survive on noodles, rice and kimchi!
